What can you do with an electronic drum set

An electronic drum set is much more versatile than acoustic drums. Incredibly realistic samples of acoustic drums sounds can be programmed into the modules. They can also be programmed with an infinite number of non-drum sounds as well. You can trigger almost any sound from a drum pad that you can imagine.

You can have multiple drum kits in one. Anything from a rock, jazz, country, or pop/techno drum kit all rolled up into one. This will especially make the recording process simpler and much more fun.

Controllable volume

Another benefit of a beginner drum set is being able to practice without annoying others. One of the greatest problems for drummers is practicing without disturbing family, friends and neighbors. With electronic drums, you can use headphones to mute the set entirely.

In many band practice situations, acoustic drums will ultimately overpower all of the other instruments. With electronic drums, you can control the volume, allowing the other band members also to turn down their instruments, making it less likely to disturb anyone else.

Excellent features

Easier to transport

Electronic drums are also much easier to transport from practice to gig or studio. They are much smaller and lightweight. Most electronic drum kits can fit into any average car when broken down, unlike most acoustic drums. The largest part of the set is the amplifier, which may not be required depending on the performance situation.

In many cases, you will be able to plug directly into a P.A. system or a mixing board, rather than using the amplifier.

Produces a vast range of sounds

An electronic drum set can be used to produce a vast range of different sounds, compared to the single set of sounds available from an acoustic set. An electronic drum can trigger almost any sound imaginable, from the very best of acoustic drum sets recorded using top-of-the-range equipment by the most experienced sound engineers, to an incredible range of other types of sounds.

This makes the electronic drum set suitable for many genres and styles of music, many of which the acoustic set is not suitable for.

Cheap cost

moneyThe price of electronic drums has gone down dramatically over the years. Even low priced entry level kits have the features and quality that most discerning drummers would be satisfied with. Top of the expensive line models is comparable in price to their acoustic counterparts.
